We got a nice write-up of the gig we did a week or so ago at Bunkers Hill, Nottingham.

Mascot Fight hit the stage and Sean has clearly been waiting a long time to get up and play and is somewhat tired and emotional- he's a loveable rogue, mind, and a dreamy eyed singer just adds to Mascot Fight's slightly dishevelled charm- Sam loves this band... we exercise a 'no bands that played last year play this year' rule but it fell by the wayside for Mascot Fight as they provided us and all the other bands on the bill with a full set of working drums and loads of other kit for the day... and perhaps they've become our mascot, our talisman, if you like... any road up, they were a fucking triumph: stirring songs expertly played to within an inch of their lives, funny inbetween songs talk and BLOOD- Sean seemingly shredding his fingertips as he made his guitar chime... there's something delightfully right about Mascot Fight, they play soft beautiful songs LOUD and often fast and made this 40 year old lummox feel like a loose-limbed 15 year old at his first gig... I nearly attempted a stage dive... 'City Bones' is right now the greatest song in the world even though I can only half guess what it's about
